About Me
What’s up,
I’m Myles. I am a visual artist and educator of fine arts based in Southern California. Most of my work comes from personal memories, cultural identity, and the things I notice in everyday life.
Teaching is a big part of who I am as an artist. Serving as the bridge between the student and the knowledge they want to gain has always been rewarding. I’ve led workshops around my own community and others and have shown my work at the California Center for the Arts’ Día de los Muertos Festival for the past two years, which has been one of my favorite experiences so far.
At the end of the day, I want people to see pieces of themselves in what I make and feel whatever they must in order to share their stories through their own work too – whether those feelings are positive or negative. That’s the whole point of art anyway…right?
